The 2025 Zephyrus G14 is the laptop ASUS makes when it decides that gaming laptops don’t have to look or feel like gaming laptops. The chassis is CNC-milled aluminium with a subtle AniMe Matrix LED array on the lid; the display is a 2560 × 1600 OLED panel running at 120 Hz — an uncommon combination at this size. AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 paired with RTX 4070 gives you a system that handles Cyberpunk at 1440p high settings and compiles large codebases in meaningful portions of the time a CPU-only machine would take.
ASUS has tuned the thermal system well — two full-size fans, a liquid metal CPU thermal interface, and five heat pipes keep the processor above base clocks in demanding tasks without the coil whine that plagued earlier generations. Silent mode drops to near-inaudible noise levels at the expense of some performance, suitable for libraries and meetings.
At 3.64 lbs it’s a genuinely portable machine. The 73 Wh battery manages 6–8 hours of mixed use, which falls short of ultrabooks but is respectable for the performance level. A USB-C port that supports DisplayPort 2.1 and a full-size SD card reader complete a port selection that gamers and creators can actually use.
