Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is a device that blurs the line between phone and productivity tool. The integrated S Pen has zero latency on the dynamic AMOLED display, making handwritten notes as fluid as paper. The new slimmer chassis is paired with Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass and a titanium frame that makes it genuinely durable without feeling like a brick despite the 6.9-inch screen.
Snapdragon 8 Elite runs Galaxy AI workloads entirely on-device: real-time call translation, note circle-to-search, and ProVisual Engine AI photography processing that computes scene-by-scene optimal settings before the shutter fires. The 200 MP main sensor captures images with detail that crops usefully to 50 MP and 12 MP derivatives depending on downstream use.
The 100× Space Zoom is built on a 50 MP periscope telephoto at 5× optical, with AI upscaling for the remaining steps. It’s more useful at 20–30× than 100×, but the capability to frame a stadium from the stands or read a distant street sign is genuinely useful. Seven years of OS and security updates make the S25 Ultra one of the strongest long-term value propositions in Android.

Galaxy AI features are more useful than I expected. Circle to Search genuinely saves time identifying things in photos or videos. The note-taking workflow with the S Pen and AI summary is now part of my daily routine. 7 years of updates makes this a compelling long-term purchase at this price.

Coming from a Note 20 Ultra, the S25 Ultra is the phone I’ve wanted for the past four years. The S Pen integration is flawless, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is noticeably faster in everything, and the 200MP main camera produces files with detail I’ve previously only seen from crop-sensor cameras. The thinner chassis makes one-handed use possible for the first time in this line.

The camera system is excellent. Night photography from the main 200MP sensor is stunning. My only complaint is the Space Zoom beyond 30× degrades quickly to an impressionistic blur — useful for identifying something at distance but not for sharing photos. At 5–20× it’s genuinely sharp.
